Just like it is said below, you just get killed for no reason. You can't change direction without stopping for a moment and sometimes the game considers it as a fail, sometimes not, there is completely no rule in it. I even got killed once when I just touched the exit! What the hell? If you will be (maybe) responding to this, please don't make an easy exit sending me to the walkthrough, but explain to me what's wrong with this game and what am I being killed for and what for am I not? What exactly the game is considering a reason for losing the stage? This is more important thing to say than the description above.

FlyingColours responds:

Sorry if you didn't enjoy the game. It was a silly little game I made when I started out programming, and I've really grown since it. The thing about the game is that it detects movement by checking, at a fixed interval, whether the square you're on is the same square as the one when the game (or the hypothetical demon) last checked. In retrospect, it's not the best mechanism, but yeah, it *was* my first game. ;)

Now just what can I say about this game? You used to do some neat, calm stuff... and now This!
A hardcore, irritating, frustrating masterpiece for masochists!
The beginnings were ok, but when I got to level 13... AAARRRGHHH!!! I'mma kill that #@&$#!!! The next one pissing off was the one with 100 coins to collect, but easier.
When I finally beat the game - I had a feeling that I achieved Something.
It has only some minor bugs, like for example on the 100 coins level: on the lower parts of some blocks the wall jump fails to work. Also when designing a game like this pay attention to the fact that different keyboards have different sensitivities, for example mine is a bit oversensitive, so some of the levels were a pain.
But: If you will be making a sequel to this - I'm in :-)

Blobzone responds:

Thanks for playing it although i get that level 13 can be very frustrating. But thats the hardest level anyways so far. Yeah, some platformers will follow since i am working on a couple of projects and platformers are likely to be finished the fastest. So expect more in that direction :)

And yes, the aspect with the different keyboard sensibilities was something i didnt think about.

Cheers.

Good game :-) Playable, you can have lots of fun from playing it. Only 2 things:
1. I assume that it was designed rather for mobile devices, but it would be good if you uploaded a more laptop-friendly version: with lower screen, the current one is too high to fit in the window.
2. Isn't the game saving progress? I reloaded the page and had to start from the very beginning.
Oh, a third thing just came to me, after finishing mission on level 3 the screen just went black and the game stopped working.

eivigames responds:

Hello. Thanks for your feedback. In the latest update we put a full screen button at the main menu, between the sound and information buttons. It should resize the game to whichever resolution you're using in your screen.

There was indeed a problem in our code that could cause the save file to not be written. It should be fixed now, but please let us know if you see it happening again. We'll look into the bug you described after finishing level 3.

I got a problem with the medals from fights and the loading of the game. When I click "play" the game takes about 10-15 seconds to load and after winning a fight the game breaks for few seconds, then I see the medal popping up, but it doesn't unlock for me.

t4upl responds:

Seems to be unlocking for others. Are you using Chrome? because Stencyl is known for hating it.

The response of controls is very poor, for example I even can see that a part of the costume is located on something, I approach, press a key to check "on" and get an outcome "nothing there"...

Gamepopper responds:

Sorry to hear that, when you approached the item, what did the text at the top say before you pressed the check on key? I'm guessing there might have been a collision conflict between two of the hiding areas, but I'd need more info to see if I could repeat it.

Why aren't the medals working? I just made 1277 and it did not save on the score board and the game did not give me the medal.
One suggestion: make the game enable some free space for the player after respawn, because it is not enough time to react and you are just losing life after life after life.

VascoF responds:

I've updated the game with the scoreboard and medals just now, so you must be playing the previous version. It may take a few moments for the game to update, but hopefully if you refresh it should be working. Also thanks for the suggestion.

It is not the fact that the game is hard, it is badly designed. You constantly have a feeling that the hit box of the ship starts way away from the image of the ship and since I am not the only one that is pointing it out...

playgb responds:

I had this feeling sometimes too, I believe this is due to the speed of the ship when moving. I tested the collision now again, and, it's fine: http://imgur.com/OHhCxZJ

Nice thing! And educating :-) Ahhh the power of economy... ;-) Got almost all medals... almost, because after making all upgrades I received the Pro medal and the Deadweight one seems broken at the moment. While fixing make sure that the people that already reached this level would only need to reenter the game without having to restart the game as a whole.
I especially liked the option to customize the flappy $'s movement.
The idea of this game even made me think about possible adjustments, for example why not making something like flappy $ meets tycoon? The player would have an opportunity to make decisions about the owned business, which would affect the supply, demand (make for example campaigns introducing the product to a broader audience, changing the targeting). Sometimes an unexpected situations on the market could occure, making the game more difficult for a while and if the player would deal with it, would as well get benefits from it (special profit, experience etc).
The game has a great potential for further development :-)

FreeEconHelp responds:

Thanks for the review! I will look into the deadweight medal error.

Nice game, but as Plasmarift already wrote the medals are not working, I didn't get any of them. Also obviously the scoreboard is broken.

renegadegamez responds:

The Medals Should be fixed now
The Scoreboard is working now
Thanks for the compliments

The King is dead, long live the King!
My reign has begun! This Kingdom needs a strong-arm regime, the nation is lazy and thinking only how to overthrow the ruling ones! From now all weaponry requires special permission directly from the King, otherwise it is officially banned, all not obeying will be hanged at sight! As I said the nation, the peasants are lazy and need to work harder, therefore the taxes will be doubled! I will lead this Kingdom to its Golden Era!

About the game: the idea is very interesting, you really have to plan efficiently your further steps in order to reach your goal. It was already said that maybe the blessing isn't so good idea, but you need it to get rid of the bones. If it would be eliminated, the enemies should not drop bones as well since they are always covering the items dropped by slain opponents, needed for making new items.

The graphics is simple, maybe could be better, but the gameplay fills the gap made by this weakness. Graphics isn't everything.

My biggest complain is the clicking. Many times I wanted for example to mine, not attack, to leave the screen instead of attacking (once the dragon killed me because of that), sometimes you also click for example on a part of the screen to move or on a bird to shoot down, but the character is not moving, once I thought that I got stucked in a cave because of that. Picking up items is also sometimes problematic, you click, click and... nothing. About items: there is also another issue related to it: you need to constantly sell/use bones/feathers/coins to not get into a situation in which you couldn't pick more items being covered by them.

About the dragon area: many times during the fight the graphics started to go crazy, placing some parts of the screen on the ground. These parts stayed there even if you left the area and the only way to get rid of them is to reload the page with the game.

I also encountered a minor bug: if you shoot down a struggling chicken (:-D, great name!) in the moment when another chicken enters the screen you will get a loop of a falling chicken. To get rid of it: just leave the screen.

There is also something weird about the map: if you leave the beach screen with the king, you won't return to the beach, but you will find yourself in front of the castle.

Oh, I was only wondering if the locked door has any purpose for the game?

Nonetheless the game is good, I liked the progress in earning new abilities, making new tools for fishing and hunting, discovering prosperities of new weapons and equipment etc. I also think that this game has a potential for making a sequel with more side-quests maybe. I really enjoyed this game. Keep it up! :-)

Maxiecole responds:

Yeah, I agree the clicking could've been better.
You can see in the top left corner what you are about to click, so that can be used as precision. Although I wish I could make an initiative way to choose what action to perform when multiple entities are colliding each other. I will look into the right-clicking option.

Thanks for the review.
