A bit too fast to be enjoyable in my opinion. Besides, on some computers/with some mice attached clicking the middle button causes the up-down scroll to appear, so it would be much better to add keyboard controls, like classical R for reload and a neighboring key for bomb, like E or F.

PS

Now it looks much better, but the medals for 1000, 1500 and probably 2000 highscore points are broken.

cheesydevYT responds:

Thanks for your input, I just updated with a few of those changes. Update: Fixed the medals now too :)

Only one complain: was it really that difficult to make the game save progress and not to force the player to proceed to level 13 in one sitting? The game is simply too long and is getting boring after few levels passed.

PestoForce responds:

No, not hard, but the permadeath was intentional to mirror how rogue-likes usually work!

Nice classic-type submission, there aren't many of them (or any?) these days. One thing: there is something wrong with the redirecting link of the front page suggestion thread. While all the written numbers and letters are ok, clicking on it throws you to this address: https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/www.yoursite.com

Little-Renastair responds:

I swear I make the dumbest mistakes! Thanks for pointing this out, I have corrected it now! As for classic-type submissions, that's what I have returned to offer to the portal!

Something is definitely wrong with the medals, for example I received the one for 500 jumps before the medal for 250 jumps. Maybe add a counter to the game showing how many times did the player jump or die.

And probably the medal for collecting 100 bananas is not working.

MixonTech responds:

Thanks for feedback, 100 banana medal now work :)

Interesting game, but with one major flaw: it gets laggy after a while to the point when even clicking on in-game buttons is taking effect after a massive delay. I even had to collapse the game to write this review, because the tab with the game temporarily stopped responding.

PS

It looks better now. One suggestion: add a "restart" button below the "home" one after you lose; one bug: when my character hit the shroom with coins and rotated himself he stayed flipped.

Oh, obviously the scoreboard is not working.

thelonelynug responds:

Gonna fix this right now as I have not encountered this on mobile. Thanks for reporting this and also taking time to play my game!

Edit: Thank you for reevaluating. I will look into your restart button suggestion as it totally makes sense. I have encountered the mushroom bug and will work to fix it in a future update. I appreciate your constructive critique!

Leaderboards are good to go :)

1. The game clock is definitely wrong. I am barely playing it for 10 minutes and it already gave me the medals for playing for 15 minutes and even an hour;
2. At the moment when the medal pops up the game lags extremely.

PS

As for the issue mentioned by @blyndid - medals are worth 0 points as long as they haven't been tested. You need to earn them by yourself, meaning play the game for 2 hours and get 2000 points to unlock them and make them show their real points value.

ONE MORE NOTE:

The time medals would not be such a pain if the game was actually saving and remembering the time you spent playing it.

EdThePro101 responds:

I have fixed the issue! Thank you so much for telling me!

Interesting game, but the camera view makes it a bit confusing. Lots of times you simply don't see where are you supposed to land. Especially those changing angles are annoying.

Also sometimes there is a problem with bad design of the subsequent platforms. I met a situation in which I had high ground in front of me, but no booster up.

PS

As for the stage design: I just have been thrown out of a booster in a way that simply gave me no chance of reaching the next platform...

And another situation: I fell being completely unable to see what is below me...

A suggestion: zoom out the view... I simply would want to SEE where am I going, otherwise the game is just becoming luck-based, not skill-based.

Amni3D responds:

I see. The fisheye effect was inspired by Sonic Xtreme. I know that it was a love it or hate it kind of thing with how it works. On one side, you can see more, on the other side it might be confusing to a few players.

Also, as difficulty progresses, you're expected to spend some of your stamina to make it through an area, often with water bottles nearby to refill stamina if you really can't make it. The boosters also refill a small portion of your stamina as well. Remember you can double jump and dash when you need to. If you're really having trouble, focus more on leveling up, and as such collect more coins and visit the shop more often.

EDIT: As for your edits, I'll look into updating the build. Changing the game's design entirely isn't feasible, but stuff like "zooming out the view" and increasing the glide's view offset can be taken into account.

One complain: why I cannot use arrow keys in the single player mode? I prefer them over w/s.

PS

The game is not saving progress and when you buy something in the shop the cash is not decreasing after making a buy.

sirL responds:

-The w/s is just how i like it, now you can use either!.
-It's a very short game, i don't believe it's necessary to save your progress. I'll make sure to write that down for future proyects tho!
-Yeah, no idea what happened there but i think i fixed the shop bug.

Thanks for playing, double thanks for the feedback! :D

While I finally understood how does this game work I must say that the controls are a complete mess. You simply couldn't make them more complicated in the matter of rearranging letters, especially the ones above and therefore making the game less enjoyable if even. Why I cannot simply "mark" a column that I want to move and move it continuously without having to constantly "space" it? You should make it in an entirely opposite way: arrow keys move the current column and space is being used only for marking the one you want to currently use without being forced to constantly "space" the marked column from the left to the right. This would be also reasonable in relation to the speed in which the letters are going down. Currently it just seems impossible to form words in a such short period of time while struggling with the controls.

PS

Rise of the score after the change of controls ;-)

HealliesGames responds:

Understood the mistake.
Actually trying to make controls better.

It didn't seem hard to me, but the quick tutorial and the general mess confuses a lots.

Thanks for feedback, HerbieG! :)
