A note for everyone with a problem like @guthrie had and for the authors as well: medals do not work with Ruffle. Use NG Player instead.

You need to double check the medals. I just completed a first quest, but the game already gave me the medal for completing all of them. Also does completing 48 floors without powers means also without upgrades?
BTW: your game is not re-sending medals after reload if connection fails.
Not sure I follow, sorry. Are you saying that completing one quest unlocks every medal?
And no, without powers doesn’t mean without upgrades. Just don’t press X at any point during a run!
Interesting concept! But this is definitely not a point & click game.
The medal check feature you implemented is not working properly. The game disconnected for me from NG before I finished board 3 and 4. I reloaded the game, but the corresponding medals did not unlock automatically. I had to replay the last stages of both boards to finally make them appear on my account.
You've got 1 major problem with medals: except the coin ones all others do not appear in-game in real-time. So they do not unlock on Newgrounds as well. To load them you need to reload the game.
I sense a good dose of good old platformer brutality here. Good job!
It is not perfect though. And here is why:
1. I constantly have to play the game using a rather weird and inconvenient scheme: left+right arrow keys and w. Why? Because pressing up on Firefox moves the screen up as well while space moves the screen down.
2. I constantly got a feeling that the calibration of movement is a bit "over-powered". It is especially noticeable if you want to climb a ladder and there is a spike nearby on the top. You barely touch the key and the yellow guy instantly runs for his doom.
3. Speaking of ladders: having only 2 options: to be below or on the top of a ladder isn't the best invention.
Oh, good advice for everybody from some point: watch your step!
The control scheme ruins it all. Arrow keys + z or x for attack would do much better.
Quite a good game we got here. It only needs one thing: local saving between sessions.
Thank you. I wasn't aware of the Newgrounds cloud save feature in the API tools when I converted my game to Newgrounds, just focused on medals and score boards, and frankly I don't know how to implement it yet. But I will investigate it. Can't promise it will happen today or any time soon since I'm working on another project.
1. Add arrow keys controls;
2. Change the attack button, pressing space on Firefox moves the screen down (you can also lock the screen).
PS
Well, sadly you did not improve the game in any of these ways.
Thanks for the feedback!
