Nice game, but as Plasmarift already wrote the medals are not working, I didn't get any of them. Also obviously the scoreboard is broken.

The Medals Should be fixed now
The Scoreboard is working now
Thanks for the compliments

Every single time I play it the game makes a lag when I reach 13-14 points, making me unable to get more because of losing of control.

The King is dead, long live the King!
My reign has begun! This Kingdom needs a strong-arm regime, the nation is lazy and thinking only how to overthrow the ruling ones! From now all weaponry requires special permission directly from the King, otherwise it is officially banned, all not obeying will be hanged at sight! As I said the nation, the peasants are lazy and need to work harder, therefore the taxes will be doubled! I will lead this Kingdom to its Golden Era!

About the game: the idea is very interesting, you really have to plan efficiently your further steps in order to reach your goal. It was already said that maybe the blessing isn't so good idea, but you need it to get rid of the bones. If it would be eliminated, the enemies should not drop bones as well since they are always covering the items dropped by slain opponents, needed for making new items.

The graphics is simple, maybe could be better, but the gameplay fills the gap made by this weakness. Graphics isn't everything.

My biggest complain is the clicking. Many times I wanted for example to mine, not attack, to leave the screen instead of attacking (once the dragon killed me because of that), sometimes you also click for example on a part of the screen to move or on a bird to shoot down, but the character is not moving, once I thought that I got stucked in a cave because of that. Picking up items is also sometimes problematic, you click, click and... nothing. About items: there is also another issue related to it: you need to constantly sell/use bones/feathers/coins to not get into a situation in which you couldn't pick more items being covered by them.

About the dragon area: many times during the fight the graphics started to go crazy, placing some parts of the screen on the ground. These parts stayed there even if you left the area and the only way to get rid of them is to reload the page with the game.

I also encountered a minor bug: if you shoot down a struggling chicken (:-D, great name!) in the moment when another chicken enters the screen you will get a loop of a falling chicken. To get rid of it: just leave the screen.

There is also something weird about the map: if you leave the beach screen with the king, you won't return to the beach, but you will find yourself in front of the castle.

Oh, I was only wondering if the locked door has any purpose for the game?

Nonetheless the game is good, I liked the progress in earning new abilities, making new tools for fishing and hunting, discovering prosperities of new weapons and equipment etc. I also think that this game has a potential for making a sequel with more side-quests maybe. I really enjoyed this game. Keep it up! :-)

Maxiecole responds:

Yeah, I agree the clicking could've been better.
You can see in the top left corner what you are about to click, so that can be used as precision. Although I wish I could make an initiative way to choose what action to perform when multiple entities are colliding each other. I will look into the right-clicking option.

Thanks for the review.

The game is great, but I'm not sure if not bugged. I have a feeling that the rubbing and capacity upgrades, especially taken from the shop, have much stronger effect than it is written on them, for example when I bought a +10K upgrade my only plant got +30K, also after purchasing several rubbing upgrades I don't know how, but my rubbing power is over 4000, thjs makes the idle gains and clicking completely useless. I'm not sure if it was supposed to work this way, because it makes the game much much more easier.

applessmillion responds:

Will check
Edit:
Checked, and nerfed some things.

I didn't like one thing from the very beginning: the controls. I always preferred arrow keys to move. Could you add something like "swap controls" button?

For me the hit detection sucks. Many times I was moving just almost inside the vertical walls with no death, while the corners seem to be very oversensitive. It happens especially when the ball is moving to the left. Also many times I already passed the moving block, but suddenly the game decided to make a joke on me and decided that in fact I got killed (Oops, sorry! Maybe next time I will let you win!), even if I was already moving for a moment away from the block. And one more thing: I earned the first medals while being away and playing on a different computer, but after I returned I cannot earn even a single one.

At first i wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do, but when I realized it the game became really fun :-) And once you teach your left hand to switch the elements fluently, you can easily master this game. Obviously you need some upgrades for this, but at some point I didn't even need many abysses, because the subsequent elements weren't jumping out too fast. My only problem was the lag I experienced when reaching higher scores, it made me lose the game few times.

Game taken! Completed with all achievements unlocked :-) This game is AA - Absolutely Awesome! The graphics, the gameplay, the plot and the most important: the atmosphere, everything made in a brilliant way! There is only you and your skills, with a bit of upgrades. The challenge of directing the survivors in the best way, the fun of finding secret places, everything absolutely perfect! It just seems impossible that so good flash - not PC - game could have been created. One of my new favourites :-)

SeethingSwarm responds:

Oh that's awesome! I'm glad you liked the game and thanks for the kind words :)
I'm especially happy that you enjoyed the atmosphere of the game. I really wanted to get the mood right with this game series and it's so nice to hear that you appreciate it. Thanks!

Hopefully you'll enjoy Earth Taken 2 just as much. There are a lot of new stuff in that one. Oh, and there might also be a third Earth Taken in the near future, but it's kind of a secret still, so shhh! ;)

P.S. I'm a firm believer that it doesn't matter what software you use to make games. The only thing that matters is the final product, the game itself. Technically this game is still a PC game even though it was made with Flash, but I know what you mean. Flash is more powerful than most people realise, but I think I'm starting to push its limits a bit, especially with my latest project, an upcoming game called Enter The Flesh Again. That game is still heavily under construction, but it's already bigger than all of my games combined and there's still so much to do. I'm just hoping that I don't break Flash before it's done :P

I encountered a bug which prevented me from progressing further: after I clicked one of the numbers the game behaved like I had clicked the "take" button and the game stopped responding to any clicks, making me unable to do anything. This leads me to #1 suggestion:
1. Add a saving feature - urgent!
Furthermore:
2. I think that my set of medals is all possible for now. Or maybe somebody will be extremely lucky?
3. You should consider adding upgrades that would stay after purchasing, the constant ones, not one-use-only.
4. And/or consider making possible to buy more than one item of one kind, otherwise I doubt if anybody will be able to finish the game - or be patient enough to do this.
